Community
TILT Komet is our digital and physical community open for all students, researchers and creators interested in inspiration, learning and collaboration.
On the digital platform you find short articles, podcast episodes, monthly themes and meetups where new connections and ideas can grow.
Places to be
Makerspace HVL: Provides students and staff with access to tools, equipment, and guidance for hands-on prototyping and development of innovative ideas.
Student Incubator HVL: Offers a central, collaborative environment where students can develop startup ideas, receive guidance, and build ventures alongside peers and mentors.
GründerCampus: A physical and digital meeting place for student entrepreneurs in Vestland.
Workshops
An 8-week, hands-on afternoon program where you learn how to develop an idea into a concrete startup with guidance from experienced founders, mentors, and guest speakers.
Participants gain practical tools, a tested concept, a clear way to present your idea, access to continued support after the program, and a valuable network you can use in future studies, careers, or ventures.
Courses with credits
Venture Creation: NHH is establishing a new course (7.5 ect) on Business Venturing, starting in the fall of 2026. In the course, students will gain insight into the establishment and operation of entrepreneurial ventures from top entrepreneurs and business leaders from all over the world.
UiB DIGI courses: Flexible, online courses offering introductions to innovation and entrepreneurship through short, 2.5 credit-bearing subjects that can be combined with any study program. First course coming spring 2026.
Student Program
The AI-Accelerated Innovation Sprint: An intensive three days, research-based innovation experience where students move through a full innovation cycle.
Startup Preschool: A three-day program that introduces to entrepreneurship, business development, and the local innovation ecosystem.
First Customer: A practical program that helps early-stage startups validate their ideas and secure their first customers.
Demo Day
Demo Day is a celebration of ideas and startups in progress — come see students and researchers present what they’ve been building, get inspired, and connect with others who are curious about innovation and entrepreneurship.

TILT Student is for any student in Western Norway who’s curious about trying something new. Whether you want to explore an idea, meet people, learn simple tools or develop a real project — there’s space for you here. Start with curiosity, and see where it takes you.

You can join workshops, try out ideas, learn practical tools, meet students from other fields, and take part in activities that make it easy to get started. You choose what you join — everything is open to all students in Western Norway.

Any student on the West Coast of Norway — from any school, field or level.

Most events are free for students. Occasionally, certain activities may have a small fee to cover included extras like food, drinks, or materials. Any cost will always be clearly stated in the event information.

No. Everything is designed for beginners.

Yes. You can drop in when it suits you.

Most activities are open to everyone. Some events will have simple sign-ups so we can plan capacity, and those will be clearly marked. Only the spring development programme requires an application.

Yes. All students in Western Norway are welcome.

All sessions are held in English to include as many students as possible.

TILT Student is developed in collaboration with University of Bergen (UiB), Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL), Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), GründerCampus, and VIS – Vestlandets Innovasjonsselskap.
