Winning prizes at Startup Extreme

A brilliant night for the start-up environment in Bergen - where two of our members went home with prizes from this years competition.

JET Seafood

The company JET Seafood, won Angel Challenge and will receive 800.000 NOK in investor money.
They are developing a new market platform for selling and buying salmon. Currently, all trading of physical salmon is conducted via telephone, email or through Skype –  a purely one-to-one relationship. The platform is an internet portal, where the company will get a transaction fee for the volumes of salmon matched through the site.

JET Seafood are members of our program Gründerhub.

– Winning the Angel Challenge 2018 means a lot to us. Not only are we receiving a convertible debt funding, but we also get our name out there and added credibility to our project, says CEO Eirik Talhaug.

– The money enables us to hire a Senior Sales Manager. This is something we have looked forward to do for a few months now. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at BTO, Gründerhub and the rest of the environment around us – for their help and positive feedback on our work, continues Talhaug.

Think Outside

Think Outside won this years Creative Business Cup and will represent Norway in the international final in Copenhagen. They are developing the world’s first smart ski: Dingo.Ski. The company is a member in our incubator program Mediekuben, in Media City Bergen.
