Apply for Proof-of-Concept funding (FORNY2020)

Researchers in Bergen have the opportunity to apply for funding for research projects with a commercial potential from The Norwegian Research Council with help from BTO. Proof-of-Concept funding is a golden opportunity to obtain the funds needed to conduct testing, upscaling and continuation of your research project.
12.06.2018

Bergen Teknologioverføring (BTO) will coordinate the application process, project management and business development. In the last years, 30 – 50 % of our applications has been successful. The fourteen active projects we have in 2018 will receive approximately 104 million NOK from the Norwegian Research Council. Seize this opportunity and collaborate with us to get funding from FORNY2020!

About FORNY

The Research Council of Norway’s programme on Commercialising R&D Results (FORNY2020) promotes innovation based on research results. The programme facilitates the commercialisation of results from projects conducted at publicly-funded research institutions and helps to bring the products and services to the market.

The FORNY2020 programme is designed to trigger the value-creating potential of projects conducted at publicly-funded research institutions. The programme provides funding to newly-established companies based on these projects as well as to Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) affiliated with the research institutions. More information about FORNY2020 is available at forskningsradet.no.

Every year, FORNY2020 is looking for projects to fund. Together with our owners and partners, BTO has the opportunity to apply for funding of projects that can be expected to have a high degree of commercial or socially beneficial potential. Projects from every research field can apply for funding, and the final goals for these projects are either licence agreements or establishing a business.
