The establishment of a makerspace at Marineholmen was initiated by entrepreneurs in the start-up environment around Bergen Teknologioverføring (BTO) and people connected to Bergen Makers. It was a clear coinciding need between entrepreneurs, Bergen Makers and BTOs wishes. Marineholmen Makerspace is a cooperation project between BTO and Bergen Makers. BTO is the project owner, and Bergen Makers is a contributor to activities, events and content specifically aimed at private members.
