The aim of the call is also to strengthen Norwegian bioethics- and medical industry. The announcement is made through the Research Council’s program for biotechnology (BIOTEK2021) and commercialization (FORNY2020).

– This is an exciting and unique collaboration between the Norwegian Cancer Society and The Research Council. There is a long way from scientific idea to finished product. The process before the product is on the market and used by many patients are demanding and costly. We want the patient to benefit from research at a greater speed. These funds will provide important impetus to future-oriented Norwegian research. There is an enormous potential in research and innovation in the health sector, says Anne Lise Ryel, Secretaty-general of the Norwegian Cancer Society, to forskningsradet.no

BTO are ready to assist researchers in Bergen who wants to apply. Application deadline is 9th september.
