The portal was initially an effort initiated by Inven2 to increase the visibility of the research tools continuously developed by scientist in their region.
“The portal can help to establish new partnerships and exchange with other research groups and provides commercialization opportunity usually by means of licensing/sale to biotech or pharma industry. Also, if the tools are licensed to industry, they cannot be used by industrial customer in commercial applications, only for research and development purposes,” says Malgorzata Barczyk, business developer at BTO.
