BerGenBio is located in the BioMedical Research Center at the University of Bergen, in Bergen, Norway. It is well funded and built on a platform technology called CellSelect. Research Scientist

Areas of responsibilities to include :
- Lead R&D projects including:
- In-vitro & Invivo model development
- Drug screening and candidate evaluation
- Target validation studies
- Biomarker assay development
- Lead collaboration with academic and industry partners
- Publish in scientist journals and Represent company at scientific conferences
- Support management with IPR filings and strategy
- Report as required by the business
Qualifications:
- PhD or equivalent in pharmacology, molecular/cell biology
- 3+ years post-doctoral/biotech/pharmaceutical experience
- Record of scientific excellence through high-quality publications and presentations
- Experience in angiogenesis, hypoxia, mechanisms of drug resistance, tumor microenvironment, metastasis, cancer stem cells
- Familiarity with molecular profiling and cancer genomics
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting.
- First class communication skills (English essential)
- Ability to function in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-tasking environment
- Ability to achieve in a milestone-driven, rapidly changing commercial research environment.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a complex international team environment with scientist of different background and experience levels
Research Assistant/Technician

Qualifications:
- 3+ years relevant lab experience (cell biology, molecular biology).
- MSc/PhD advantageous
- Passion for working on cancer drug R&D
- Able to work effectively in a team setting.
- First class communication skills (English essential)
- Ability to achieve in a milestone-driven, rapidly changing commercial research environment.
- Enjoys working collaboratively in a complex international team environment with scientist of different background and experience level.
